Eligibility & Admission Procedure

Students who have passed the Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate Examination (10th Standard / SSLC) or any other examination recognized by the Pre University Education Board of Karnataka are eligible for admission to I Year PUC.

Candidates from outside the Karnataka State shall produce Migration Certificate and Eligibility Certificate.

Caste Certificate in the prescribed form duly signed by the Tahsildar shall be enclosed for claiming concessions and privileges earmarked for such students for selection and admission.

Application Forms obtained from the college in the student's name must be duly filled and submitted to the Principal on or before the specified date.

It is requested that only 'Certified Copies' of T.C. and Marks Card are attached with the application form and not the originals.

The names of the selected candidates will be announced on the Notice Board of the College on the informed date. Those who do not get admitted before the specified date will forfeit their admission right.

Languages offered shall be the same as those offered at the 10th Standard.

There is no provision for change of subject or section after the admission.

Admission made by the college is provisional, subject to the approval of the Pre University Education Board which reserves the right to accept or reject the admission at any stage.

The college offers the two year Pre-University course with the following subject combinations.

Documents Required for Admission

  • Original SSLC Marks Card for verification with a photocopy.
  • Original Transfer Certificate with a photocopy.
  • ICSE/CBSE students shall submit two photocopies of both Marks Card and Transfer Certificate.
  • Aadhaar Card – photocopy
  • Income & Caste Certificate – Photocopy
  • Passport size photos – 06 Nos.
  • Aadhaar Cards of Father and Mother – Photocopies
  • Passport Size Photos of Parents (Father & Mother) – 02 Nos.
  • Parents should accompany their wards at the time of admission.

Merits, Scholarships & Awards

  • Students securing above 95%, free Education for 1 PUC.
  • A Merit Scholarship Award of Rs. 10000/- for 90% & above.
  • Fee Concession will be given for the students passed out from Schools under the aegis of Devaraj Urs Education Society, Chitradurga.

Counselling Service

Counselling service is provided to the students and to the parents. Students may seek help from the Counsellors for a variety of concerns including: surviving college, improving relationship with family, room-mates, making important decisions about one’s personal life, dealing with painful feelings like loneliness, depression and the like.

Counselling services are confidential:- Students will have to meet their respective Counsellors on a regular basis. Please feel free to seek their help and support.
